Who is your Best Friend???

 Hai everyone,

I am back with some loose thoughts that have been recurring for a while now. So I thought of sharing it with you... here it goes ...

    Who is your best friend???.....

If someone asked me this question a few years back, I would have given them a definite answer. But today if someone asks me this same question, I would think and think and think and finally come up with a list of people who have been the best I could have at certain moments of my life.

Just go to a kid and ask this question. You may get a name or two. These names would be of the ones who play with them, laugh with them, and make them happy every now and then. As a kid, this was the same notion that I had, but as I grew older this concept of friendship- a best friend is the one who makes you happy- struck me hard. So I rephrased it into something more convincing- a best friend is someone who would never leave your side and stay with you in all your ups and downs. This seemed the perfect definition I could find for some time. As days passed and our lives became hectic, the one thing that I realized was that your best friend may not be available for you at all times. Everybody has their own life to deal with. After all, how can you expect someone to be your pillar of strength when life is being harsh on them and they can't even stand up. Here is where you need a whole array of friends. Why friends? sometimes even strangers are more than enough. They with their naive smile and beautiful words can lift you up and can even turn out to be your ray of hope. I am not saying that the best friends you have in your life are worthless but I was just saying that you will get a chance to see the best version of all of your friends.

I know the question that popped up in your mind is this- so what do we call them, the one person or some people in our life who are so close to our heart???. Soul Friend, I would say. As your souls are so nicely entwined, even if you can't support the other you can just be there, without even uttering a single word. That can do miracles in both of us.

As I told you at the beginning, this is not an answer to the question in the title, rather these are some vague thoughts pouring out of a person who has been trying hard to tackle writer's block. I hope we will meet soon when something like this comes up.

See you soon๐Ÿ˜ƒ
